Flatcoats, or dogs in general, are excellent personal trainers.
It doesn’t matter if it’s raining cats & dogs or what ever the weather is, dogs demand their walk – especially if they are flatcoats.
After getting Polar Flow (last summer) I have been surprised how efficient walking the dogs in the forest is. My settings are at the level 3 which is the hardest but still walking the dogs me achieve the 100% or more quite easily. In the forest you go up and down, go over fallen trees & other obstacles. Your heart rate can quite easily go above 170. Today it was “only” around 150.
Today, according to Polar Flow, I run 1h and 11 minutes. Walking in the forest is actually quite hard.
So what it is I’m trying to say here: get a dog and be healthy. With dogs getting shape is so much more fun!
