It hasn’t been the easiest July.
At first we lost our beloved friend Hilla the goat. Then the chickens had two babies but they disappeared. Then one of the chickens died (she had been sick once in a while).
We also have duck family in our pond. I don’t see them all anymore. I know for sure, it’s not the dogs. They leave the duck alone, same with the chickens. The dogs swim every day and don’t event try to swim after the ducks. They just notice them and that’s it. The bond is very close to the house, only about 15 meters and it’s quite big. Room for everyone. Even hundreds of frogs.
Some happy news
We have a new baby goat. She is so lovely! She is very brave with the dogs.
And the dogs
Hanie has started her season. We have still done the daily walks together with the boys but they are getting quite laborious around the scent. It’s just not fare for Hanie to tell them off so many times during the walk. Even though she is not fertile yet, it might be best to separate them now to cause less stress to everyone.
Below is a 3 minute movie in slow emotion.
So babies and season it is.
