Minnie had some bad ear pain and eventually, her left inner ear was removed in surgery. The recommendation of two vets after her MRI.
After the hard period of time, she is doing fine now. She is such a strong girl who even surprised the vet by how well she has done & recovered.
Before her surgery, the vet warned about the symptoms she is most likely to have from two weeks to two months: left eye closed (nictitating membrane), lip hanging funny on her left side, balance issues. She had her left eye closed for 3 days eventually: from Thursday to Sunday during the week after her surgery. Her lip was fine all the time and she did not have problems with her balance.
She was quite sad at the time her nictitating membrane was closed but when she began to see more with her left eye she became happier and happier.
Her fast recovery is something to be happy about.
I am very grateful to the vet who did the surgery so well and all the other things leading to her full recovery (apart from her lost hearing in the left side which she might have lost already before the surgery).
Minnie is such an amazing dog who does not complain about little things.
It has been a very hard couple of weeks for her and me. I have been worried to sick and she has been in pain.
That is all behind now and she is back to her normal self. All this just two weeks after a big surgery.
After a long time, Minnie can now run free in the forest. This clip was taken Tue 27/3/.
