The new cat was allowed to go out after getting to know his new home for a couple of weeks.
He was very interested in looking at the environment and a bit of fearful towards the rooster who is huge by size.
Then he was taken inside again.
The next time did not go as well. The cat was examining the nearby but then nature took over and he got very happy about the environment. He was jumping happily and climbing threes. I notice him going to the neighbors’ side and tried to call him. No reaction.
All of my cats have gone there but always came back. This time the cat did not come back.
I tried to search for him many times but never saw him anywhere.
One day the neighbor heard me calling the cat and I asked if he has seen “black and white Leevi look-alike cat”. She had not but said she will call me if she does.
It only took less than an hour before she called. I was so happy: the cat has been found. I rushed to the neighbors’ warehouse but unfortunately, the cat was gone. I called him and tried to find him, but he was gone hiding again.
So I needed to use my trap.
Finally, he was caught and home because he went to eat food inside the trap.
His roundtrip was almost 5 days long. After that, he changed to a much softer version of him. Maybe he was happy to be home with a soft bed and food in front of him.
So he needs to get to know his new home a bit more before going hunting again.
He is really needed here. Leevi, the other cat is doing a good job keeping the mouse population a bit smaller but I am hoping the new cat would help in that too.
The new cat was named “Manu” a short before moving here. I’m thinking of changing his name to “Kalle” so that’s why I haven’t use the name in this post.
This story had a happy ending and the cat is back home and hopefully hunting nearby home in the future. But the cats seem to help the neighbor too. What seems to be a wrong place to hunt, seem to be just perfect for the cats.
